Address written by Rev. Fr. Daniel Inyang-etoh (CEO De Unique Farms) on the commissioning of the Borehole donated by Emmanuel Inyang Foundation on 25th February, 2021

Ladies and gentlemen, greetings!

The journey of life is a mystery, no one knows what tomorrow holds. You and I do not know who will be our way maker, but those who believe in God know that the ultimate architect designs our life in a unique way that we can’t understand.

In September 14, 2020, my SMASCO classmate, Engr. King Jones, an Engineer of Robotics visited my farm, took aerial shots and projected me to the world. Media houses and some journalists took interest, made enquiry, interviewed me and wrote articles about my farming activities. Along this line, Emmanuel Inyang Foundation saw one of the articles and the pictorials and had interest in knowing me in person.

Mr. Emmanuel visited me and my farm. His visit gave birth to a new borehole which is commissioned today. From the interaction we had, I told him that my major challenge is water and funds to sustain the farm. He promised that by the end of the year, I’ll have water for my farm. He added; “Father, I want you to develop this farm to the standard you want. I will support you.”

During the maiden edition of the Akwa Ibom Entrepreneurial Conference organized by Emmanuel Inyang Foundation in Uyo on October 24, 2020, I graced the event and was exposed to other people who are also good in their different fields. It was an interesting event. I was inspired to work harder.

Today, I can look up and say; “my faith has not failed me.” God is with us (Emmanuel). God has come to visit his people. Today, Emmanuel Inyang Foundation has come to fulfill that promise. Emmanuel Inyang Foundation has donated a borehole to De Unique Farms and Ikot Obong Ediene Community at large. This is a project for humanity, for the common man… The owner of the compound where the water project is stationed will benefit, my farm will also benefit.

Hon. Pastor Victor Morgan donated the farm to me to encourage me to work hard. In the course of planting crops on the land, the family of Mr. Ndianabasi (a widower with 4 children – all boys) was spotted. They are the closest people to the farm and they lived in a very pitiable condition, in a thatch house. Today, that family has a 2 bedroom flat – thanks to Mr. Joseph Akpan, the CEO of the Big Corazon Charity Foundation. This gift alleviated their suffering and the four children are back to school.

Today, another feather is added, this family will enjoy good drinking water. All thanks to Emmanuel Inyang Foundation for her outstanding benevolence. To God be the glory!

Mr. Emmanuel Inyang and others during the commissioning of the water project at Ikot Obong Ediene, Abak.

I thank all those who have made this day possible.  I thank all those who have assisted me to grow to where I am today. I thank my parents, siblings, relations, Priests, classmates, friends and farmers in Akwa Ibom State and beyond. The aim of De Unique farms is to serve mankind and we’ll continue to do this for humanity.

As you have blessed me, may blessings never depart your home, Amen.

God bless you!
